What Season Is it Again?

With today being the first day of October, you would think Mother Nature would begin settle down into one permanent weather pattern. October means signifies the start of my favorite season of Fall...colored leaves falling to make bare trees, and gentle clouds hovering to create cool breezes. However, the day has presented me with anything BUT that. I was in fact bombarded by Fall's rivaling predecessor and successor.

In the morning, a time of day I don't officially recognize because I truly believe nobody in there right mind should be up before lunch, I was brutally attacked by the Artic chill that blasts through the vents of my Math 3B lecture hall about every 5 minutes. I couldn't believe it. I was properly dressed in air-conditioned-building attire AND was still freezing. Was I in the North Pole? Where are the penguins? the igloos? the ice? It is not time for Winter yet!!!

Later in the day, after taking what seemed to be a way too short nap, I ventured back out to campus for my final class. And guess what? Hello summer! Jesus Christos, (I like my Jesus with a Mechicano accent) it's like the Sahara Desert outside! I'm surprised the students weren't stripped down to their skibbies and riding around on camels because it was so unbearably hot.

So, moral of the story is Mother Nature must be on her period because she's being a fickle bitch when it comes to temperature changes. If she doesn't stop making my internal thermostat oscillate between the two extremes, I'm going to end up being one torn-up mofo. I may even have to join a Jamaican bobsled team just so I have some middle ground in my life. My advice Mommy Dearest, binge on chocolate ice cream, Vodka, and Extra Strength Midol...it worked for my broken ankle!
